Cherilyn gets married

Cherilyn, my friend since middle school, got married today to Mike at the Hale Koa. I’ve never seen Cherilyn in a dress as long as I’ve known her, and she looked great. She even had strappy shoes! She also has never had long hair until this past year and it looked so cute in her updo. Cherilyn even got the calla lilies bouquet she wanted.
The ceremony was in the morning and the lunch reception followed. I haven’t attended many day weddings (actually, I can’t recall any that I’ve gone to recently), but I must say, I think I’m getting old but I like the day wedding. The event finished around 2pm; I wasn’t tired, and neither was Ellis. We could relax the rest of the day (although we walked over to the Hilton to look at the penguins) and it wouldn’t interfere if we had work or school the next day. However, I bet the couple didn’t enjoy getting up at 4am to start makeup.
Ellis and I had a wonderful time and couldn’t be happier for Cherilyn and Mike. Thanks for letting us share in your joy!
