Berry Topper™ by Jamba Juice
Food Reviews Aug 11, 2009
I’ve never been a huge Jamba Juice fan. Nothing against it. Oh. Except for that one time I got deathly sick from a strawberry smoothy a few years back in San Francisco. The stomach cramps were almost as bad as the blurred vision and disorientation I got from a bad pastrami sandwich from Specialty’s on Battery. So, I think it’s taken me about seven years to forgive them, and here I found myself back at Jamba Juice this morning.
Product: Berry Topper™
Company: Jamba Juice
Location: Waikele
What’s in it: Frozen strawberries, blueberries, bananas, low-fat yogurt, soymilk, organic pumpkin flax seed granola
Total out-of-pocket: $3.75
Verdict: 4 out of 5 (yummy, and i’d eat it again)
The 20-sec review: I love granola. And although I like granola and milk, it gets a little boring. I ordered it with extra granola (added $.60 to the cost), and it was worth it. Way pricier than McDonald’s yogurt (yes, I like theirs too), it was 3 times the size and packed with healthy goodies (at least I convince myself of that). I would make a special trip to pick one up as long as it’s sort of on the way.
