It’s beginning to look a lot like a kitchen
From Pixels to Pencils, Remodeling Dec 06, 2013

We are over six weeks into our kitchen renovation (here in beautiful Springfield VA!) and it is finally looking like a new kitchen. Holy smokes I couldn’t be happier with our new waterfall counter.
After an initial boggle where the granite guys showed up with the wrong material (all cut and everything), John got them to recut and reschedule the following week. Apparently, along with the rest of the U.S., the granite guys are incredibly busy around Thanksgiving. The glass tile backsplash turned out fantastic although I had to throw a fit over the fact that my dark navy blue grout turned out light gray in application. A paint brush, grout enhancer and $80 later, my grout looked the right shade–dark. Gustavo did some fab painting and my orange walls finally came to life. Some were skeptical of my color selections before painting started, but after they could finally see it in application, I finally got some mad props. Yeaaah, baby.
